Soup Kitchen/Holiday Food to Needy

This holiday season, the San Martin de Porres Soup Kitchen was able to provide food boxes to many families in need. Their goal was 400 boxes, which were made possible by many contributors, including Los Alamos National Laboratory, who donated 400 turkeys and a truckload of canned and non-perishable food items. Many Española merchants also helped this cause with monetary donations. A grant from United Way was also the key to the purchase of a brand new walk- in freezer for the Kitchen. Thanks to all those who helped make this holiday season better for many in need.
