Councilor Lujan is a life-long resident of Española. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Santa Fe.

Councilor Cecilia Lujan was first elected to the Governing Body in March 2006 for a four-year term. She was re-elected to another four-year term in March 2010. Counsilor Lujan currently serves in the following capacities:

    • Mayor Pro Tem
    • Committee Chair: Public Safety Committee
    • Committee Member: Community Services Committee

A few of Councilor Lujan’s top priorities for the City are financial accountability and stability, public safety, senior and youth activities. On council, she has continued to advocate for constituent’s concerns.

Councilor Lujan is employed by the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Cecilia is also very active with church activities at Holy Cross Church. During her spare time she enjoys the outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, biking, and skiing.
