I was born September 30th, 1973 to "The Late" Tim Salazar III and Bennie Alarid Salazar.

I was born and raised in the beautiful Española Valley. I am married to Bernadette R. Salazar and we have two boys.

I am a 1992 graduate of Española Valley High School. I also attended Northern New Mexico College with a focused degree in political science and an emphasis in criminal justice.

I have a family with many years in public service to our beautiful community and beautiful state. I first became a city councilor back in March, 2004. It has been an honor to serve my constituents and do my part in helping to better our beautiful community and strengthen ties with our fellow governments and neighbors.

I first ran with the belief that I want my children and the children of our community to be raised in a better and safer place than when I grew up. I care about all factions of the community including our youth, senior citizens, recreation and public safety.

I have served as Chair of the Public Safety and Recreation committees and presently Chair the Community Service/Relations committee. I have also served on the Finance, Public works, and Recreation committees and was formerly Vice Chairman of the Planning and Zoning commission. I am currently the city council liaison for our Mayor/Youth Advisory Council.

I am dedicated to helping to make our city a safer community for all as well as promoting more activities for the youth and for our senior citizens. I will continue to work hard to effectively strengthen our relations with our neighbors.
