City Employees Rally to Improve Plaza

| Employees from several city departments joined forces on August 7-8 to lay sod at the Plaza de Española, all part of a beautification and revitalization project for Downtown Española. Crews from the Parks Department, Water Department and General Services Department had been working on installing a sprinkler system for the project over the previous several weeks. With all of this joint effort, the city was able to save over $42,000 on the project! The grass is off limits right now to give it an opportunity to take root, but will be open for public enjoyment beginning in mid-September. |
