Mr. Chris Rainwater has resigned as City Manager

Mr. Chris Rainwater has resigned as City Manager. The City has amicably settled on an appropriate severance package that was disclosed and ratified by the City Council at a special meeting today at 4:30 pm at City Council Chambers.
Effective today, Mayor, Joseph Maestas appointed Mr. Cyrus Samii, Planning Director, as Interim City Manager until further notice. However, Ms. Susan Trujillo, Administrative Service Director will continue serving as Acting City Manager until Mr. Samii returns from vacation.
“The search for a new city manager will begin as soon as possible. I will be appointing a search committee comprised of city councilors at the next council meeting scheduled for November 27, 2006. ” |
